For her second London Fashion Week season, KIRSTIMAIRIE’s signature elaborate seamwork is mixed with richly textured fabrics and luxe metallics to create a precision-cut collection that includes crystal-beaded cocktail dresses, a voluminous mohair evening coat, and a showstopping, floor-sweeping gown. Inspired by the graphic lines and jewel shades of medieval fairytales, and topped with a sprinkling of hand-finished sparkle, every piece in the collection sweeps around the figure to showcase a dramatically feminine, utterly elegant silhouette. Featuring unique fabrics sourced from all over the world, and pattern cut straight from the mannequin in her East London studio, KIRSTIMAIRIE’s Autumn/Winter 08 collection marked the evolution of a new British talent. 2009 has continued to build on that talent.
